Some more pictures
[back][home][e-mail]
Unfortunately, the only up to date pictures that I have are here. These here will have to do until I get some more. I'm not usually prone to photographing my car. These were taken when I first brought it, which explains the obsessive behavior. I aplogize for the poor image quality. I did not yet have a camera with nice German optics. These were taken with an old dust coated Vivitar at high noon. I've learned alot since then, about both photography and cars. Anyway...enjoy. You can click on any of the pictures here to get to a huge version.

This is the side view of the car when I first brought it. Contrary to my present habits, I was quite fastidious and obsessive in the beginning. This photo was taken during those days when I would actually wash and vacuum the car on a weekly basis. Oh how naive was I! Also notice the huge tires that came with the car. 215/65 R14! They rubbed on the big bumps, so I've downsized them. The current version of the car has several more window stickers than you see here. Rather than plaster a car with performance stickers to give the impression of driving skill, I prefer to maintain a subtle profile. However, I also like to support the manufactures who have helped me enhance my car's performance, so I put a small sticker in the window for each upgrade. What you see are are my BMW CCA sticker and Momo sticker. The car came with a 15" Momo wheel for a spare tire!

This is the back of the car. Not much to say about it. I removed the 318is label, imaging that I was a European driver. I like the concept of traveling incognito.

And this is...the front. It looks much different since my error of judgement, but will return to normal soon. When it does it will be sporting some nice after market body kit. Since this picture was taken, the hood has become increasingly chipped and scratched. Living in the remote wilderness does not prolong the finish of your car. The Roundel has been completely denuded, and a weird bubbly of clearcoat is slowly spreading across the hood. Never the less, the car is amazing to drive, and that's the important thing, isn't it?
